I got my bottom braces yesterday! Today I’ve eaten: a banana, tea-soggied biscuits, vegetable juice(it tastes like cold soup), sweet potato and lentil soup, and a cup of milo. I think Yoni Wolf is haunting me. I went for a walk around my block and I saw 34 Jacaranda trees. It was raining, but in a kind of way that didn’t make a big deal about itself. Not drizzling, I could feel the drops. It was just slowly making the world wet, insidious but not sinister. I could smell dinners and wet cement.

The entire time I had ‘Against Me’ playing in my head and I don’t know what kind of mood I am in, or if anything right now is good or bad because I’m just hanging out for next week.

Beirut was great for studying for Modern History! I talked about the Rhine a bunch in one of my essays today because Hitler totally ignored the Treaty of Versailles and occupied that shit in 1935 when it was meant to be a neutral, de-armed buffer between France and Germany. The occupation was a test of what the Allied powers would do and because they took no action Hitler took it as an OK to start invadin’ other countries and it’s seen as the official start of the use of the policy of Appeasement.

Appeasement kinda started world war two and I could write more but people don’t care so listen to the song and think about how sweet hanging out in some pretty French countryside would be.
